American Barns that are Built to Last

The framing is on our American Barns is contructed using the finest kiln dried timber from sustainable forests, purchased from FSC registered companies. The main structure uses 100mm framing with uprights at 600mm centres, and cross supports behind the kickboards. The shiplap cladding is tanalised (E-tanalith) to protect against rot and decay for over 20 years, and coupled with the bitumen vapour barrier and additional plywood lining, provides an excellent triple skin to the exterior of the building. Buildings are bolted to the concrete, with fixings that are concealed behind the kick boards.

Most American Barns feature 12' x 12' units either side of a 12' walkway, however should this not be possible in the space available, adjustments can be made to acommodate alternative configurations i.e. 10' walkways, or 8' tack rooms.
